Ten Foot Henry is a brand new restaurant to Calgary but that doesn't mean it comes without a history. Their name comes from a beloved figure in Calgary's arts scene who has made an appearance at many venues for over 35 years. What's the figure you ask? A bald, 10-feet tall mascot aptly named, "Ten Foot Henry".
Ten Foot Henry describes their cuisine as a "representative of the cultural melting pot of the United States and the cultural mosaic of Canada". With a menu heavily focused on vegetables, Ten Foot Henry has created unique dishes found no where else in Calgary's already-vibrant culinary scene. Highlights include kale and mushroom tempura, charred broccoli, fresh roasted carrots and for something more hearty, yakitori chicken or crispy sock-eye salmon.
Next time you're in the neighbourhood make sure to stop at this welcoming and innovative restaurant. Grab a refreshing kölsch in the bottle and you won't be disappointed!
